Liz the Health Advisor
honest health insurance

Health insurance that works for you!
Hi, my name is Liz. When I entered the health insurance industry, I quickly realized that many agents and offices are not working in the best interest of the clients they serve. Many of them sell products based on what supplements pay them the biggest return. I decided to become an independent broker and luckily, I found a wonderful team where the people are all about helping the customer, even if that means setting them up with a free plan!
If you need help with insurance, or if you are wondering if your agent has you paying too much... give me a call and I can give you an honest quote whether you get your insurance from me or not. There is no automation that will take your information, no elevator music and your number won't be added to a call list if you call me. If I don't answer I am on the other line helping a client. The fastest way to reach me is to text. My number is 407-442-1158.

I am broker licensed in the 12 states listed below. If you don't see your state on the list, someone else from my team will be able to help you. Some of the carriers I am contracted with include United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Sheild, Ambetter, Oscar, Molina, Caresource, HealthFirst, Cigna and many others.

Expert Advice
Your average insurance cost should be your age plus one zero. So, 20 yr old average cost is $200 and 50 yr old average cost is $500. This is not exact, it is just an estimate of what insurance should cost. If you are paying more than that, you might be paying too much. You may however be qualified to pay less than that based on your income, age, family size and the county you live in.

The closer your income gets to $22k the closer you get to qualifying for a free plan on the marketplace!

Insurance that does not have an out-of-pocket max, is not real insurance. These are called indemnity plans!

Ask any agent you speak with, is this an indemnity plan? Is this a short term plan? If they say yes, you say no!
It is common practice for insurance agents to not tell customers what discounts they qualify for on the marketplace. They show full price marketplace plans and then compare it with whatever plan they are selling. You can go to healthcare.gov and fact check them yourself!

The good supplement (depending on your zip!) -
Too many agents add on too many supplements in my opinion!
There is one supplement however, I let all of my clients know about and that is an accident proguard. Many out of pocket maxes are around $9,200. If an accident happens and the bill is $90,000, the out of pocket max is all you would owe. The proguard covers the out of pocket max and for some people in some counties it can cost as low as $5-$10 a month.
There are a few other good supplements depending on your needs such as mental health that I recommend for frequent therapy.

All comprehensive healthcare plans should be ACA compliant and they should have an out of pocket max!
Your agent should make sure your prescriptions are covered and your doctors are in network before enrolling you!

Just remember if you do sign up for a plan you are not happy with, you have time to change it! Give me a text, let's set up a call and I will let you know if you are good!

You can also select your state from the list above to schedule an appointment on my calendar! If you don't see your state on the list, text me and I will get you set up with one of my partners in your state!
